Who are the Friends of Egerton School?

We are lucky enough to have a dynamic team of dedicated parents and carers that devote time and energy to ensure all of the children have an enriched school life by supporting the education and learning environment, during their time here at Egerton.

How do they make a difference?.

As well as helping out at most school events, The Friends organise and host a wide variety of events throughout the year to raise much needed funds and aim to bring the pupils, staff, families and the wider community together. Successful events such as the Christmas craft fair, Camp nights, Bluebell run, Film nights, Wave rave, Mothers Day shop, Easter fair, Quiz nights and many others are all thanks to a team of volunteers, who strive to make all fundraising efforts rewarding and lots of fun for everyone.

How can you get involved?

The Friends meet regularly during the school year to plan events, they also work closely with the headteacher and school staff to make sure that money raised is used effectively. They are a friendly, all inclusive team who are always looking for more volunteers to offer support in any way they can. Just a small amount of your time will make a huge difference, the more you help out, the more the school and your children will benefit, plus they have lots of fun along the way.

An easy way of raising valuable extra funds is by shopping online using Easyfundraising. By simply registering, whenever you buy something online from over 3500 retailers we will receive a donation. So far we have raised over £800 and it won't cost you a penny extra so please help us to raise more money.

Just go to and search for ‘Friends of Egerton Church of England Primary School’ and click ‘support this cause’ to register your details.

How does your child benefit?

Over the past year, Friends’ donations to the school have contributed to fantastic new playground equipment, forest school staff training, year 6 leavers books and events, reading books for the new reading scheme, summer fun day, school forensics day, coaches for individual class trips and they also subsidise the whole school annual pantomime visit.
