What is Modern Foreign Languages?
Leviticus 24:22 of the Bible
“You shall have the same rule for the sojourner and for the native, for I am the Lord your God.”
Modern Foreign Languages provides children at Egerton with the opportunity to explore, engage and immerse themselves in another culture. Children are liberated from insularity as they are provided with the skills to connect and communicate with others facilitating a cultural awareness and shedding light on aspects of their own lives and culture. Being able to communicate in another language exposes children to new experiences, fostering an appreciation for the objects, events and people associated with that language, encouraging understanding and tolerance.
