Safeguarding

Psalm 5:11 of the Bible

“But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may exult in you.”

At Egerton Church of England Primary School, safeguarding is taken extremely seriously in order to keep all of our pupils safe.

On our school leadership team, we have three trained Designated Safeguarding staff members and a designated governor for safeguarding. Our role is to ensure that our pupils are safe both in and outside of school. If you have any worries or concerns about a situation that your child, or any other, is facing, please do not hesitate to contact us.

We expect all staff and volunteers to share our commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.  Any posts at the school are subject to an enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and a check against the ISA Barred List for children.

We also follow KCC guidelines in regard to DBS checks for volunteers that help at our school.

All visitors to the school, including parents attending meetings during the school day, are required to sign in at the school reception.  They will be given a visitor’s badge which they must wear during their visit.  On leaving the premises they must sign out and return their badge.
