What is Personal, Social, Health and Emotional education?
Isaiah 12:2
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) is the over-arching subject area for Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Relationships and Health Education (RHE). Sex Education (SE) is within both the science curriculum and is also a discrete element of RSE.
RSE covers areas such as friendships, bullying, respect, diversity, online safety, and also conception in year 6.
RHE covers areas such as keeping fit, mental wellbeing, healthy eating and lifestyles, drugs and alcohol, and puberty.
