Our school dinners are cooked on-site by Nourish Contract Catering Ltd.

We have our own school kitchen, and the team work very hard to provide healthy, tasty and well-presented food.  Nourish offers a four-week menu which is changed twice a year. It follows the healthy food guidelines produced by the government.

We provide a free school meal for all children in KS1 in line with the current government guidelines.  The cost of a school dinner for children in KS2 is £3.05 per day.  Please note the price will increase to £3.10 from 1st September 2026.

The school requires all school dinners to be paid for in advance.

Free School Meals - Are you eligible to claim free school meals?

From September 2026, more families will be eligible for free school meals due to changes in the eligibility criteria. If your household receives Universal Credit, your child may now qualify for a free school meal, regardless of your household income.

Who is eligible?

Your child may be eligible for free school meals if your household receives any of the following benefits:

•  Universal Credit (with no income limit from September 2026)
•  Income Support
•  Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
•  Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
•  Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
•  The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
•  Child Tax Credit (provided you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
•  Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)

Why should you register?

Even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 and already receives a universal infant free school meal, it's really important that you still register if you're eligible. This is because:

• Your child's registration may bring additional funding (pupil premium) to our school, which we use to provide extra support and resources
• Your child will continue to receive free meals when they move into Key Stage 2
• You may be eligible for help with other costs, such as school trips

In addition to the free school meals for all children in KS1 your child may be eligible for 'free school meals' which results in an additional payment to the school (Pupil Premium), which is used to support their learning.
