Last Thursday it was a pleasure to be able to take 19 very excitable Egerton learners to the 02 arena where we took part in a rehearsal and performance as part of a 7,500 strong choir!
From the moment we left the school our children were perfect examples of our Christian values. Their behaviour on the train and during our tube journey was respectful, conscientious and very mindful of the fact that their choices needed to be positive at all times. During our time at the arena they listened carefully and were committed to making it an enjoyable and successful trip for all of us involved.
Unsurprisingly, they threw themselves whole- heartedly into every opportunity to sing and dance and only momentarily did they let tiredness take over in our post-tea break! I couldn't have been more proud of their enthusiastic performance and looking around the arena it was hard not to get goosebumps as they sang 'Stronger Together'; a song which we are sure will become an Egerton anthem before too long!
I would like to say a huge thank you to Mrs Wellard and Miss Major who joined us on the day and whose singing and dancing was equally as fantastic! Another big thank you is owed to Mrs Crossley-Roberts whose guidance and patience during rehearsals meant that we were prepared and excited for the big day. Finally, a thank you to all the family members who took the children to the station and many of whom were able to join us in the evening to see such a memorable performance- We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
Here are a selection of some of the photographs we took on the day.
