On Monday 23rd May, Woodpeckers had a very fun time making carnival masks, creating information posters about the Brazilian carnival and even making some delicious carnival treats. We finished our day in style with an exciting carnival parade!

Woodpeckers worked EXTREMELY hard on Tuesday 8th March to raise money for the NSPCC.
Take a look at the effort they put in to circuit training, in the photos above!
Woodpeckers have been creating some fantastic news reports based on the events of Boudicca's rebellion. They had to use their computing skills when filming and editing using I-Movie on the Ipads, along with their historical skills and knowledge of the Romans.
For their design and technology project this term, Woodpeckers researched and planned to make their own Roman Catapults. It was important that their catapults had a fulcrum, a lever and a crossbar, in order to launch a projectile successfully.
On Thursday 22nd October, the Woodpeckers were busy sawing, drilling, hammering and gluing to create their fantastic Roman Catapults. We then had lots of fun testing them out on the playground.
Well done to Luka, who managed to win our catapult competition, launching his conker right across the playground!
A big thank you to the family and friends who came to help!
