On Wednesday, Kestrels and Woodpeckers had a wonderful day together in Hastings.
During our time there we enjoyed a guided tour of the Blue Reef Aquarium where our learners impressed the guide with their knowledge of the marine wildlife we met. It was a joy to see the children's faces when they were able to see these creatures in such close proximity- We think they would have happily stayed in the underwater tunnel all day!
We also had the privilege of visiting the Lifeboat Station where we were all fascinated to see their lifeboat and have the opportunity to see versions of the clothes and equipment they wear when out at sea responding to a call for help.
We were very lucky to be able to enjoy our packed lunches on the beautiful sea front but had to brave the company of some very hungry seagulls!
All our children were wonderful representatives of what makes Egerton learners special- Their behaviour made us very proud.
Thank you very much to the parents who volunteered to join us on our day out. Without their help and support, days like this would not happen and certainly wouldn't run as smoothly!
