Fire Engine visits our School

It was a lucky day in school today!

Due to a chimney fire in a nearby property this morning there was a fire engine in the village.  It has always been difficult for a fire engine to visit the school as we are a long way from the Ashford Fire Station, so we took full advantage by asking the Watch Commander, Kevin Surridge, if they would pop along to the school if they had time.

They kindly obliged with a fantastic talk to both our KS1 and KS2 children.  They were very generous with their time and although they were on call luckily for us they didn't get a 'shout' while they were here.

On behalf of all the children......and the staff we would like to say a big THANK YOU.
